The Tiger Movement (what we do)
Our mission towards collective well-being, the tiger movement is to give financial muscle to women’s initiatives to change the status quo. Like the boldness of the tiger, bold collective measures are required for women to claim agency, initiating an end to the alarmingly high effects of political, legal, economic and cultural factors violating human rights in South Africa.
In popular slang, R10 is called a tiger. Think of all the good that can come from contributing R10 a month in perpetuity!
Piloting in rural Free State, Ma Tiger is bringing change, promoting care and advancing equity to secure a strong future.

Why?
The grand vision articulated in our Constitution has been debased by those who are supposed to be its custodians. Civil society can stand up and take care of the 60 million people in South Africa. Solving social and environmental problems becomes possible by the broad support of millions of people contributing tigers monthly to build a just society.

How?
Employing the ADKAR (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement) change model, Ma Tiger has facilitated community dialogues in Rosendal (Mautse Township) during 2024. Volunteer working committees have been formed and funds are now required to realise solutions : Enterprise Development and the building of a Recreational Centre in the township.
Communication plays a critical role in change management. To this end a team of local youths are reporting issues and progress by via social media.
